Join us on Saturday May 23rd at 5pm CST for this week's virtual cocktail class is: Backyard Bash – fun cocktails to amp up your holiday weekend! Whether you have plans to BBQ, or are thinking of future deck parties, these cocktails will help you feel transported to a truly epic backyard hang! We'll also be joined by a special guest, Meredith Barry, a long time Chicago bartender who has recently relocated to St. Louis!
This class will showcase cocktails that highlights three of our favorite aged spirits:

You'll receive an email with the Zoom information, ingredients, and spirits you'll need for the class. Join the party at the time of the class, where we will go through bar basics & cocktail history, and then you’ll make 3-5 craft cocktails, all with the guidance and recipes provided by our Brand Advocate, Sarah.
Ingredients:
Suggested 3 Bottle Combo: Reserve Cherry Brandy, La Normande, Reserve Plum
Substitute Spirits: Bourbon, Rye, Scotch, Cognac (AGED STUFF!!!)
Lemon Juice (½ oz in 1 cocktail, add more if making more than one)
Honey Syrup 2:1 (recipe below) (¾ oz TOTAL for 2 cocktails, make more if you’re making more cocktails)
Angostura Bitters
Pineapple Chunks (2-3 per cocktail)
Nutmeg (whole or ground)
Salt (A dash per cocktail)
Cayenne Pepper (A dash per cocktail)
Unflavored Yogurt ( preferred is Chobani Whole Fat, but use what works for you)- ½ oz per cocktail
Strawberry Jam (Sub any jelly or fruit preserves you have in house) No jam? Just use berries! 1 oz per cocktail
Optional: Lemon Marrakech Bitters (SUBS- Agno or Orange)
Ice
BBQ Wood Chips (We’re going to smoke a cocktail! This is optional but super fun, you can find wood chips in most BBQ sections of the grocery store. If you don’t want to use wood, you can smoke herbs like sage, lavender, or rosemary)
Lime La Croix (Feel free to use regular soda water, or any lime flavored bubble water if you have a preferred brand)

Mixing Glass
Jigger or measuring cups/ teaspoons
Strainer
Fine Strainer (let us know if you need options for this)
Bar Spoon
Muddler
Can Opener
Honey Syrup (2:1)
Boil 1 Cup of water, turn off heat and add two cups of honey. Stir until the honey and water are fully incorporated together. Store in a sealed bottle or container and refrigerate when not in use.
